39 wk update

Today was my last OB appt until Kylee/Kylie arrives! Last night I started to feel minor contractions and back aches, but not enough for me to head to the hospital. In the Dr. office today, the NST (non-stress test) confirmed the small contractions, but I am basically the same as I was last week. I am more towards 2cm dilated and 50/75% effaced (cervix thinned out). So, looks like I won't be heading to the hospital until Tuesday, Jan 20th around 4am! Yes, for those of you that know me, I am rarely up before 8:30am, so being at the hospital at 4am should be interesting. Granted, I have to call Labor & Delivery an hour before to make sure they haven't full, so I wont arrive too much after 4am. (For those of you that don't know, we live about 30-45 minutes from the hospital depending on the traffic and if we take the Toll Roads.) I chose the 4am slot that way there was less likely of a chance of getting bumped throughout the day. All is well other than that. The next time I write, Avery will be a Big Sister! Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!

Go Gators!

Here are some pictures of Avery with her Gator's dress from Aunt Jill and some other cute pictures that we have gotten lately. Enjoy!

Avery drinking out of her juice box with holder. She has been doing really well with this lately! Only once has she taken the juice box out and squeezed it all over herself. haha. Below are some pictures I got of her getting her puff snacks from the pantry on her own. As you can tell we have tons of stuff on the floor, but she has never tried to get anything but her snacks. Too cute!

Outside playing with grass, the dogs, and her new slide from Christmas. She loves to climb up the slide the wrong way. She has even played with the basketball, football, and soccer ball that came with it. Just last night, Daddy was teaching her how to head the soccer ball and catch it. Avery loved every minute of it!

38 Week Check-up

Well, we have had a bit of excitement in the last week. For those of you that don't know, we have FINALLY picked a name! Well, sorta. LOL. We aren't exactly sure of the spelling yet for her first name, and everyday I switch between two middle names. It will either be Kylee/Kyleigh/Kylie Marie or Kylee/Kyleigh/Kylie Addison. However, we are MUCH closer to a decision than every before. This is a good thing especially since I am showing early sign's of labor! Yep, that right - I am officially further along at 38 wks with Kylee than I was with Avery all the way until my water broke with her. The Dr told me I was 1-2cm and 50% effaced. Granted, I could stay this way forever, well atleast until my induction that is scheduled on Jan 20th, or I could go into active labor tonight. So - we will see what Miss Kylie wants to do. I have to say, she is still pretty active in the womb, so I don't think active labor is in my near future. The Dr also told me that I need to stop growing this child as my belly measurements are bigger than they were with Avery. He guesses she is already 7lbs. This is kind of amazing since I actually weight less overall than I did with Avery. Hopefully that means I am mostly baby and don't have to loose as much after delivery. One can only hope, right?
I have my 39 wk appt this Wed, so we will see what kind of progress I have made and we will try and keep everyone posted. Here are some recent pictures of my belly. The first is from Christmas (36 wks), the second is from Wed (38 wks), and the last is my 38 wk picture with Avery & I believe Karyn is about 18 wks with Stephen. Can you tell a difference in my belly size?

Avery's growth in the last year

So, I am just amazed at how much Avery really has grown when you look at her clothes! I was washing and putting away newborn sizes for Kylee the other day and was just blown away! Just see for yourself! The first two pictures are Avery with my mom in Nov 2007 and exactly a year later. The last is the picture I took recently of her two PJ's from then and now. Crazy!
